Our Story

The Elizabeth Nzisa Masaku Foundation began with a simple yet powerful idea: that true community transformation starts from within — from the people who know their challenges best and have the courage to imagine something better. Founded in Kangundo, Kenya, our journey is rooted in a deep love for our community and a desire to uplift every person we serve — one village at a time.

Inspired by the resilience, talent, and untapped potential of the people around us, our Founder, Elizabeth Nzisa Masaku, envisioned an organisation that would go beyond short-term aid to build sustainable opportunities. She saw young people eager to lead, women ready to break barriers, families longing for better health, and entire neighbourhoods yearning for inclusive development. That vision became the heart of the Foundation.

From our earliest days, we listened — to young voices, to women’s dreams, and to the everyday stories of families striving for a better life. We understood that lasting change comes from equipping people with the tools they need to thrive, not just helping them survive. Guided by this conviction, we began designing programs that nurture leadership, strengthen health outcomes, champion women’s voices, and open pathways to sustainable community development.
